Sacramental Assistance Compensation Guidelines

In accordance with the recommendations of the Priestly Life and Ministry Board, minimum guidelines for the remuneration of priests for sacramental work in the Archdiocese of Baltimore are as follows:

Weekend or Holy Day Masses $100.00 for each Mass
Weekday Masses $50.00 each (minimum)
Confessions $50.00
Penance service $75.00

Mileage: There is a further recommendation that travel is reimbursed at the current rate established by the I.R.S.

Questions regarding this policy should be addressed to the Office of Clergy Personnel.

The Priestly Life and Ministry Board wishes to remind pastors that costs for extra clergy help should be anticipated in the yearly parish budget.
